History
In 1999, Funworld released the Photo Play Masters cabinet with a dial up modem and new refreshed look as part of the Photo Play NET campaign. Besides of the modem/look, these cabs are technically identical to the normal wood grain Photo Play 2000 and were sold alongside each other.
Photo Play NET (fun.net) was an additional service for Photo Play cabinets to sync their high scores to the web using a dial up modem. This meant that high scores in each local machine were globally updated daily. The Funworld website of 2001 stated that 11.500 machines were part of the fun.net network that year.
A "Playennium" limited edition was released in 2000 to celebrate Funworld's 20 year anniversary. This cabinet was yellow instead of blue and a badge with its unique serial number in a range of maximum 2222 cabinets being produced.
