	~~All~~ PTS-DOS based updates:		Yearly updates were sold to distributors as update kits. An update kit would contain a dongle, software manual, license manual, some stickers and two (part) update CD's that were to be installed using the Photo Play Service Box. This Service Box was a Photo Play computer with floppy/CD drive in a suitcase with a small character display to follow progress. Installing would entail moving the hard disk caddy into the Service Box together with the boot floppy and update CD.

	Some revisions of the later versions of these dongles (I.G.O 6 to I.G.O. 8) did not have a shell (just the PCB) and have an AT connection ~~(think old keyboards)~~ that is needed to power the dongle. The parallel dongles are locked year-wise and region-wise, so you cannot use a Belgian 2001 dongle with a Portuguese 2001 hard disk, nor can you use a French 2001 dongle with any other hard disk than French 2001. Below you can find a table of the parallel dongles and their identifying features.
